EASY STEPS TO BUY AN AFFORDABLE QUALITY KITCHEN WORKTOP IN GRANITE, MARBLE OR QUARTZ

 .

PRICE

This is a very important part of the buying process...

Every stone supplier has their own business philosophy.
Buying cheap - selling cheap or buying top quality and selling top quality? That is the question…
You cannot buy top quality cheaply because no one can sell top quality for a cheap price....
You only have a few choices, but choose wisely. Make the right decision.
Find just one hour to see the company and the products and services they are offering and decide if this is what you want to pay for.
You shouldn’t buy your granite or composite worktop after only seeing stone samples.
They are just to give an idea (they are usually nicer than the original) but not enough to make the decision: to buy or not to buy...
You can buy shoes or clothes from internet, without seeing them physically, but you have the right to send them back, if you don’t like them, or they don’t fit.
You cannot send your Granite Worktop back to supplier; it’s been made especially for you and cannot be used for a different kitchen.
And of course, you won’t want to hide it in garden shed...

WE GUARANTEE THAT OUR GRANITE WORKTOPS WILL BECOME ONE OF THE BEST LONG TERM INVESTMENTS in YOUR HOME

MATERIALS

WE ONLY USE LARGE TOP QUALITY SLABS
YOU CAN HAVE EVERY WORKTOP CUT TO YOUR REQUIREMENTS WITH A SELECTION OF DIFFERENT DESIGNS AND SHAPES AVAILABLE
THE ONLY LIMIT IS THE SIZE OF THE SLAB WHICH IS USUALLY 3m X 1.8m
OUR PROFESSIONAL STONE FACTORIES ONLY USE AUTOMATIC POLISHING LINES FOR POLISHING SLABS- ONLY AVAILABLE TO LARGE SLABS.
SMALL SLABS ARE POLISHED BY HAND...WHICH IS A CHEAP SOLUTION AND DOESN’T LOOK AS APPEALING

Materials are an important element when you are buying a kitchen worktop and you have a number of choices available to you:
Granite – The best and hardest stone. We recommend using granite for kitchen worktops and floors.
Marble – Nice, warmer colours are available and can give a luxurious feeling, but it is much softer and easier to stain than granite. We recommend using marble as wall finishing in bathrooms and floors but not in kitchens and walking areas.
Limestone – A softer stone than marble, and easy to scratch and stain. We recommend limestone for wall cladding.
Slate – Some slates are hard and durable, but others are soft and show every mark. Resultantly, if you decide to have a slate kitchen worktop, you need more time to choose the right slate.
Quartz composite- Recently, Quartz-Composite stone has increased in popularity and continues to grow.
This is a very good choice for hard working areas, floors, worktops, bar tops and bathroom vanity tops.
Some refer to it as Quartz and others refer to it as Composite, we call it Quartz-Composite.
This is a composite manmade product – which is a mixture of crushed stones, quartz and different minerals, along with additional colours, pigments and decorative finishing’s, such as glass. They are mixed altogether with resin and made into blocks.
It can be cut into slabs, as well as tiles with different surface finishes.
We recommend it to clients who don’t like colours variations in stones and prefer plain colours.
Quartz-Composite is recommended for places which you don’t want to look after all the time.
We have more than two hundred different colours of Quartz-Composite to choose from.

SOME OF THE STONES ARE POPULAR CHOICES FOR DESIGNERS. THEY LOOK GOOD IN GLOSSY MAGAZINES, IN SHOWROOMS, AND WHERE THEY ARE NOT IN CONSTANT USE.

STONE COLOURS

DID YOU KNOW THAT MOST OF THE STONES CURRENTLY ON THE MARKET ARE PAINTED?!

YES! Painted! (during the polishing process, a special varnish/liquid is added to cover all cracks, holes, and results in very big colours variations. It changes the stone, hiding the real quality and colour).
So if you want to buy beautiful jet black granite with grey edges, what you actually get is grey granite covered with black “stone lacquer”.
They may be cheaper but they can also stain and scratch easily....
If you don’t know how to distinguish the right stone from the fake stone just call us and we’ll help you.
You can see all our stone colours here.
Dark granites are usually harder and more scratch resistant.
Light colours meanwhile are easier at absorbing liquids, as well as to scratch and stain.

SHOWROOM and WORKSHOP

There is only one way to understand more about stone and its processing, and it is to come along and speak to us.

We will be more than happy to show you how much care about our products and services.
Vastly experienced about stone and worktops, we can provide all the information you need about your desired worktop.
Many “stone suppliers” offer a fast and simple service; with one day templating and fitting.
They use new technology and explain to you why they can be cheaper. This is all well and good when you have small DIY works, but NOT when you are after a great looking worktop...
It has been known for some of these companies to go to your house and do all their cutting in your garden! They then do all their finishing by hand...Welcome back to the 18th century!
This results in a poorly finished product.
We have a completely different philosophy. We’ve built our specialist showroom for the sole use of our clients. This gives you chance to see our fitted worktops, with different finishes and a range of cut-outs. It is even fitted with kitchens and appliances to create a more realistic feel.
We have large supplies of stock to hand and have many samples of different stone and different door samples, to help you with your decision.
We’ve invested in the highest grade professional Hi Tech machinery to ensure we can meet you precise requirements.
Don’t worry, we won’t be reverting back to handsaws any time soon!

WE’VE ALREADY DECIDED THAT THIS IS THE BEST WAY FORWARD FOR OUR CLIENTS. WE PROVIDE A ONE TO ONE SERVICE TO ENSURE THAT YOU ARE MADE TO FEEL PART OF THE PROCESS EVERY STEP OF THE WAY IN DECIDING UPON YOUR BESPOKE WORKTOP.

.

.

STONE SAMPLES

We will send you every stone sample that you would like to see.
But remember, you shouldn’t buy your granite or composite worktop after only seeing samples. Especially stone.
They are just to give you an idea, but it is not enough to make your decision of whether to buy...

AFTER ALL, WOULD YOU BUY A CAR AFTER ONLY SEEING ITS PICTURE?

.

.

STONE POLISHING

We can offer a few different edge finishing’s. All of our edges are finished with water.
Wet polishing:
This is the only method that will give your stone, professional shiny finishing.
And, importantly, only a professional stonemason can create such a finish.
Dry polishing,
Alternatively there is dry polishing.
Using dry pads, this is a cheap and nasty method of polishing. To get the polished effect they wax it!
It only lasts a few weeks before wearing off.
We don’t cut corners. All our polished edges are wet finished. We are Stone Masters. Not stone monsters!
Surface finishing’s most popular surface finishing for kitchen worktops in polish.
We can also offer honed finishing (or unfinished). The mat effect is simply unfinished stone which adds to the polished effect.
There are more, less popular choices of surface finishing; such as flamed (burnt by fire) or flamed –brushed (flamed stone brushed by copper brushes).

POLISHING STONE WITHOUT WATER IS A CRIME!
